Osprey Guides Fishing Charters
The 1977 22.2 Aquasport was completely refurbished and customized for flats fishing in 2005. The rebuild took two years and was finished in October, 2007. The boat was gutted and stringers reattached and reinforced. All wood was removed and everything inside the boat was replaced or rebuilt with high density foam board. All compartments are equipped with overboard drains and LED lighting. The fuel tank was replaced with a new forty-eight gallon aluminum tank. A twenty-two gallon fresh water tank was mounted under the deck allowing for fresh or salt water wash down/shower.
Capt. Rick enclosed the transom adding room for rigging and giving more usable space inside the boat while increasing safety. The motor is 175HP Suzuki four-stroke mounted on a Porta Bracket lift. The bracket sets the motor back in clean water twenty-one inches and gives fifteen inches of vertical lift, allowing the Captain the option of moving across flats twelve inches deep when loaded with passengers.
Osprey Guide Service specializes in giant Tarpon on fly so the front seat was designed to be removable and all hardware flush mounted making the boat very fly fishing friendly. The auto-pilot/remote control trolling motor and eight foot power pole, shallow water anchor, make this bay boat perfect for stalking large fish in shallow water. The T-top is a nice feature giving some much needed shade in the hot Summer heat. The console has a sunken floor allowing room for a porta-potty when nature calls. All for your fishing pleasure.

I just wanted to thank you again for the wonderful time out on the water. It really and truly was the greatest fishing trip I ever had. I have done a little fishing in my life but nothing as fun or enjoyable as our trip. Thanks AgainPenny Martin
Thank you for all you have taught me. Especially fly fishing; it is definitely my favorite way to fish now. One of these days I will book a Tarpon trip with you. We will catch the big ones.James Biscardi
Thanks for such a great day, we really enjoyed meeting you. Chris has shown me a picture of a Tarpon, now that we have been home, and I think it is best that one shook itself loose! We hope to see you the next time we are in Florida. We are definitely planning on being repeat customers!Chris & Angel Leckner
